MPH Training provides tailored vocational programmes to ensure that students get the opportunity to gain qualifications, skills and confidence so they can get back into learning or training. MPH Training understands the needs of children and young people who do not flourish in mainstream education, further education or training.

We support young people who are disengaged from school, further education or training. We give motor vehicle training as a way of engaging young people into positive activities, education and interventions. The service is designed to offer alternatives to mainstream education, by running flexible programmes that provide the most appropriate package for each individual

Our aim: Is to create flexible but structured learning climates so that our students can take control of their future.

We offer a specialist training facility designed to enable students to learn in a safe and secure environment, with a small class ratio to ensure that students get the intense support that may be needed. The design of specific programmes is based on initial assessment and includes advice,

assessment and support.

All programs that are delivered at MPH are tailored to individual needs and designed to support students who;

Are not accessing any education, employment or training,

Show negative  behaviour that may lead to poor attainment, attendance and/or behaviour at  school Have an interest for vocational or practical subjects,

Require positive role models

Have difficulty mixing or working with others

Respond to a less formal approach to teaching

May be motivated within their education or training

Student qualifications are start at Entry Level * and are Unit Based allowing each individual to reach their potential thus rewarding them for their efforts and achievements.

Through experience staff have identified that innovative projects using a hands-on approach is more productive at engaging young people when teaching. In particular, informal learning techniques are effective at encouraging and motivating individuals considered to have low aspiration or a low sense of achievement.

MPH Training will ensure each student can build positive relationships with their dedicated trainer and other peers during the programme. As a result staff are able to identify any issues a student may present with at a very early stage and provide timely intervention, including referral to other specialist agencies enabling students to continue on the programme.

All Staff are fully trained and have extensive ex-motor industry knowledge and have over 20 years experience in the motor industry and our construction staff have also had 20 years experience in the construction industry our Staff are able to develop a close working relationship with individual students and instil a culture of respect and mutual support. There is also a fully qualified youth and community worker to provide support in other areas that may need attention outside of their education. This is further underpinned by an educational management team to ensure that the educational needs of the students are clearly identified and met. All our instructors are qualified to at least Level 3 (CIPD Certificate in Training Practice) with the Operation Managers qualified to Level 6.
